Avenida Giovanni Stevanato Inaugurated today in Sete Lagoas (MG), Brazil
One year after the groundbreaking ceremony of Ompi production plant in Brazil, held on February 4th 2016, Avenida Giovanni Stevanato has been inaugurated today. The avenue leading to the Ompi plant, part of the Italian Stevanato Group, is named in memory of the founder Group. The inauguration was held with the participation of the Mayor of Sete Lagoas, local authorities and company’s top executives.
“It is an honor for me and the Stevanato family to be here today celebrating the inauguration of Avenida Giovanni Stevanato.” – says Marco Stevanato, Vice President of Stevanato Group – “This is an important step in the collaboration Stevanato Group is building with the community of Sete Lagoas. The upcoming conclusion of the construction works of the Ompi plant is going to be another important milestone in this direction.” The project to name the street after Giovanni Stevanato was born in 2016 from the initiative of the ex-councilor Márcio Paulino da Silva Torres.
Avenida Giovanni Stevanato is located at km 25 of MG 238 highway and leads to a land of 40 thousand square meters where the Ompi plant of about 12 thousand square meters is under construction. The plant will be dedicated to the production of pharmaceutical glass vials, cartridges and ampoules and it is going to employ about 250 people.
